If you're looking for a huge time-waster, there's no other site for that than Fmylife.com. The site has a certain charm to it that makes one genuinely crave for more, and that must be due to the fact that it's genuine everyday people writing funny anecdotes moderated by the members themselves. But describing the site as just that doesn't do it justice, you can always access the site right now if you're reading this, most likely in a browser.
For iPhone or iPod touch owners, there are several apps that call home to the site to gather the anecdotes, but I personally like F-MyLife Pro the best (and it's just a buck). Not to worry, there is a free ad-supported version too.
The app by default opens up to the Recents screen, which is reflective to the first set of "FML's" you see when you access the site's home page.
At the bottom, you're able to access several fun options like Shuffle where you can shake the device to summon a random anecdote.
This one wasn't very funny though.
You can also see the featured Best and Worst FMLs...
And if you have an account, you can sign in and moderate incoming FML's.
If you've watched the movie, you'll laugh your ass off. I did.
There are actually three more modes you can access: Categories, Favorites and Create (new FML).
Shown below are the categories where you can access FML's of a specific category. The Sex category has particularly granted it (along with the free version) a 17+ rating in the App Store, meaning that you have to be at least 17 years old before downloading.
If you've made an account, you can write your own FML's to be moderated by the community, as well as access the FML's you've voted on (Favorites).
All in all, this is a user-friendly app that lets you waste your time effectively with most of its innards dependent on the funny website Fmylife.com. The only issue is that it doesn't do anything particularly special other than that, but what can one really expect?
Rating: 8/10 [Waste your time for $0.99, iTunes Store Link, Free version]
