Sick: A Poem

October tenth, I woke up,
Feeling ready like a pup.
It was the ZongHe test,
I was ready to do my best.

Breakfast came along,
someone was singing a song.
It was "Like A Virgin", no doubt,
and his voice was like sauerkraut*.

I went up my room,
and felt like my doom.
It was my stomach, I surmised,
so I kept it a secret and eventually went flipside!

I finally told ma,
but she had no time to scream, "WAH!",
and gave me medication,
to ease the pain and irritation.

Twelve the clock ticked,
and I still felt sick.
So I went to puke,
and it felt like rebuke.

I went to school,
keeping my cool.
I still barfed when I arrived,
but I still went up alive.

I slept and slept,
until one forty-five crept.
To mark the start of the test,
I gathered strength to try my best.

I felt numb and nauseous,
and I went out cautious.
For I was in a state of wooziness,
to the point of unconsciousness.

I rang my mom promptly,
and she came to school instantly.
I packed my stuff and left,
in a hurry like I committed theft.

I went back half in rue,
but in bed I stuck like glue.
I slept and slumbered,
and a fever suddenly occured.

It fluctuated and normalized,
and made me feel hypnotized.
At one point it was already thirty nine...
point eighty-nine.

But morning came,
and I came to blame,
a Krispy Kreme beignet**,
for which I skipped my ZongHap test.

I'm going to test it,
after the English bit.
Indirectly after Araling Panlipunan,
sometime in the hapun-an.

Grandma Dale's Sweet Tooth (a poem)

Come inside our shrine,
that's sure to entice thine,
our candies that are bright,
will make you smile in sweet delight.

Come in to our humble abode,
we've just swept out the toads.
In Granny Dale's, children are happy,
no one comes in for some lame nappie.

All stuff are fresh be rest assured,
if you get sick you'll be insured.
We don't really sell some sweet manure
but candies- sweet and full of allure.

If you are poor then it's okay,
our shop is friendly anyway.
If all you want is just to stay,
then be our guest just don't go astray.

Our candy collection
can cover a nation
of rich and poor alike.
Just grab a penny and buy some candy of which we're sure you'll like.

Come and join our sweet escape,
anyone can join, even an ape.
So come on by if you feel blue,
we're just around the corner if you don't have a clue,

It's all here in Granny Dale's,
whose sweet tooth just never fails,
if you feel it's stupid or just plain funny,
just go in and talk with granny.

'Tis a poem I concocted during Chinese classes. I was supposed to do a slogan (in my own initiative) but Jurassic's time stretched a tad bit too long... LOL.

TRIVIA: In the part after "Come and join our sweet escape,", I was supposed to put "Don't you worry, you won't get raped." as the next line. But being a candy store, would that even be necessary? XD.
