Uhhm, maybe I'll just use it to keep my pants from coming down... or not

Cashing in on the multi-million dollar success of the Guitar Hero franchise, Jada Toys has debuted the Guitar Hero Air Guitar Rocker which basically functions as an MP3 player of sorts and includes its own strum thingy. No overhead TV display, it'll look geeky(-er) but it does have an amp...

CAPTION: To quote Mr. Del Rosario, "Pa-teh-dic!"

Yes, you wear all that as a belt. Though die-hards will think it sounds cool, trust me, it's useless. And you'll even look sillier wearing something like that. I mean, just imagine yourself pretending to be a guitarist and you're playing Van Halen while ripping the hell out of your crotch... and Jada even plans to get more songs out! Bad corporate move, I say!

Wii, now wiith more guns
Speaking about cashing in, CTA Digital is also taking the Wii fever in its advantage, as it has made hordes of Wii accessories from cooking utensils, boxing gloves, fishing rods, swords and now unveiled in CES '08 Las Vegas- more guns. If the Wii Zapper, Nintendo's first party accessory in the form of a plastic submachine gun with pack-in game included, wasn't already enough! There's a shot gun, a submachine gun, plus 3 more in the arsenal, though I don't even think the red pointer laser aiming thingy will have any use in actual gameplay. Best not put it in someone else's eyes though (like that Blu-ray Star Trek laser).
CAPTION: An arsenal of Wii guns which have a useless red laser pointer. The hazardous effect of the pointer? Well, let's just say that your eyes will become, to quote Sir again, "bonggang-bongga".

Not everything you stick in the fridge is convenient...
And here's a silly product that doesn't cash in on any craze: The Internet fridge. Basically, it's a Whirlpool refrigerator that doesn't say whether it's time to throw out the cheese via e-mail, but a simple fridge that has a dockable space wherein you can put an eight-hundred dollar tablet. I don't think this will be a hit with anybody because people will probably not like the idea of hanging around in the kitchen just so you can access the Internet.

The Last Hurrah for Gates?
Bill Gates, former richest man in the world, has become a part-time worker in Microsoft, and made his last hurrah (for now) in the CES '08 convention in Las Vegas by even rocking out in Guitar Hero (now this is what I call related news) with real-life rocker Slash from Guns N' Roses who is also featured in its third and latest installment.
CAPTION: Bill Gates playing guitar wasn't something I expected.
