PSA: Earphone Replacement Program

Just in case you bought an iPod shuffle lately, you may or may not have experienced some severe screw-ups with the only method of control you have: your earphones.

Today, Apple has launched a presumably worldwide replacement program that covers iPod shuffles with serial numbers xx909xxxxxx to xx952xxxxxx and xx001xxxxxx to xx004xxxxxx. If your headphones are an epic fail and they fall in line with those numbers, you're good to go as long as you get them replaced in an Apple Authorized Store, meaning it's likely that Power Mac Center, iStudio and Digital Walker are candidates for a visit.

If you want a complete list of Apple Authorized Stores, click this link. If you want to know where to find the serial number of the iPod shuffle, click this link.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the program also covers iPods and iPhones that come with the Earphone + remote and mic, meaning that you can pretty much give out the serial numbers of those devices to the Apple Authorized Store and get those failed cans replaced.
